Members Markus Markus musical carrier started out when he was fifteen or so. Frequently singing along loudly to the Counting Crows songs that, at this time, were frequently played on various parties, lead up to a point where a few friends offered him a place in their recently started band. After being a bit skeptical at first, he did try out eventually as their new lead singer and, with everyone satisfied, the band “The Eavesdroppers” was founded. Eavesdroppers later changed name to “Blue Garter”, before once again changing their name to “Brasco”… In 2003, Brasco decided to put their attempts to reach the sky on hold. A decision that soon resulted in the break-up of the band. However, before the break-up of Brasco, there was a period with great (or was it “greit”? ) performances on various stages throughout Sweden as well as Norway and Thailand. You can listen to some Brasco recordings on myspace.com/rockbrasco. From the splitting of Brasco came a shattered Markus, rather tired of loud electric guitars in a cold and dirty rehearsalstudio in Oslo, who now wanted to take a little break from all that had to do with music. For a short while that worked out, but there’s a little something with singing that just makes you want to do it until your throat is bleeding. It’s addictive… With a few years trying to sing along to Jeff Buckley, Shannon Hoon, Cris Cornell, Ed Kowalczyk, Adam Duritz, Ken Block and other great singers it became clear to Markus that he badly wanted to be a part of a band again. So when Hans sharp eyes glanced out, from the top of that big white building, it couldn’t have been so hard for him to spot an almost equally tall Markus, wandering around the streets of Malmö, in search of a band wanting to embrace him. dePhaser came to life… Equipment:
